Sales Director (Hong Kong)

Reporting to the General Manager of sales, this position will be part of the commercial sales team to drive and grow the business of our luxury magazines and digital platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To achieve the brand, business and profitability objectives of both print and digital brands
  • To formulate and implement sales and pagination strategies
  • To establish and enhance client contacts and relationships
  • Account management of a portfolio of high-end advertisers
  • Working closely with the editorial team, identify product development opportunities to ensure our products are relevant and competitive
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams on business opportunities and market intelligence
  • Provide regular business reports, analysis and recommendations to management
  • Selling integrated partnerships to new and existing clients, across print, digital, social and events
  • Managing integrated partnerships full cycle, from idea conception to project completion
  • Contribute to the development and position of new integrated sales opportunities
  • Lead the commercial side of at least two supplements or projects over the year
  • Represent Hong Kong Tatler at industry, client and VIP events


Professional Requirements:

  • University degree
  • Proven track record in achieving business objectives and profitability targets
  • Minimum 5 years in media sales experience, preferably in luxury lifestyle media
  • Experience in digital sales is a must.
  • Self-motivated and strong presentation skills
  • Proactive and result-oriented, with sound commercial acumen and business development mindset
  • Can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of and strong network with luxury watch brands essential
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese a must
  • Sound computer skills
  • Thorough understanding of digital advertising ecosystem, including display, native, video, and social
  • Entrepreneurial attitude towards proactive pitches, including integrated partnerships, keeping the long term brand relationship in mind
  • Proven success in selling, implementing and managing integrated partnerships
  • Skillful proposal writing with excellent attention to detail and written English
  • A strong understanding of production regarding print shoots and event based work
  • Negotiation skills
