Regional Head of VIP Development (Hong Kong)

The Regional Head of VIP Development has the responsibility for defining and implementing a VIP growth strategy at the regional level. This is essential to Tatler Asia’s long term growth, as our connections with VIP is one of the company’s core USP.

Responsibilities

  1. Grow Tatler Asia community across Asia to over 10,000 people over the next three years
  2. Clarify the audiences to focus on through assessing commercial, editorial and marketing needs.
  3. Define a regional acquisition strategy, while still taking into account each market specificities. Top priority markets are China and Hong Kong.
  4. Strengthen our relationships with the existing Tatler Asia community, gain their loyalty.
  5. Bring a data-driven and collective approach to VIP audiences and development.
  6. Measure VIP community size, engagement and results of growth strategy.
  7. Measure who are our VIP audiences and provide useful information for the sales team.
  8. Build a relationship management system to retain more information, better manage and fully utilise relationships.
  9. Ensure Tatler magazine gets into the hands of our VIP audiences and gets high visibility in public places where they spend time.
  10. Assess opportunities for revenue growth within the influencer industry.
  11. Define a strategy for “Asia’s Most Influential” Lists.
  12. Help the Tatler brand transition from a “high-society” brand to a brand which gathers Asia’s most influential and affluent communities around shared passions.

 

Requirements

  • Strategic thinking – You set the vision & the strategy for the Tatler community.
  • Leadership – You’ll have direct report(s) to help execute your strategy but to succeed, you’ll have to get buy in & support from internal cross-functional teams spread across different countries.
  • Data-driven – You keep track of progress through setting the right tools, processes, KPIs.
  • Excellent Project Management Skills, very structured.
  • Creative – You keep on trying new tricks to grow the community, new ways of doing things.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury industry, and especially luxury lifestyle (ex: aware of the new trendy place)
  • Outgoing – Liaising with people is natural and fun for you.
  • Bilingual English and ideally Mandarin
