[HONG KONG – 11 June 2018] Hong Kong Tatler honoured 50 of the city’s game changers with the unveiling of its Generation T 2018 List on June 8 at The Murray.

The platform’s annual list recognises 50 young disruptors in Hong Kong from various categories including Arts, Architecture and Design, Entertainment and Sport, Fashion, Finance, Food and Drink, Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy, and Technology.

The event – supported by H. Moser & Cie., The Murray and Theory – welcomed more than 450 guests, including the 2018 Generation T listers, members of the Tatler Tribe, and Hong Kong Tatler guests. Those in attendance included Elaine Lu, Pearl Shek, Ross Yip, Sarah Heller, Vince Lim, Danny Yeung, Vicky Cheng, Kent Ho, Emily Lam-Ho, and Esther Ma.

Edipresse Media’s Chief Creative Officer & Managing Director Sean Fitzpatrick made public Generation T’s year-long partnership with Room to Read, a Hong Kong-based charity which supports children’s literacy and girls’ education programmes around the world. As part of the partnership, Generation T sponsored the education of 50 children for a year through the Room to Read programme – one for every Generation T lister. John Wood, founder of the charity, gave a keynote speech about how important it is to build social purpose in every business.

The dinner was followed by an afterparty at The Murray’s rooftop space, Popinjays. The attendees were joined by 2016 and 2017 Generation T listers – including Ruth Chao, Kevin Ma, Jaime Ku, Denise Ho, Ivan Pun, Sean Lee-Davies and Lois Tien. Guests were served special ‘Gin T’ cocktails, created in collaboration with Generation T 2016 lister, Victoria Chow of The Woods, while grooving to the bass-heavy sounds of German-born, Afghan DJ Y3LDA.

Edipresse Media’s Chief Content Officer and Managing Director, Sean Fitzpatrick, says “This year’s list is very diverse: we have women and men from ten categories of industry. We have tech entrepreneurs, we have chefs, we have artists and we even have a fung shui master. It is so wonderful to see so many industrious people from different worlds. We received over 250 nominations and it wasn’t easy getting the list down to the final 50. There is so much talent on this year’s list and it bodes well for Hong Kong’s future.”
